All submissions are closed
Submission Deadline for full papers: January 28, 2007.
Authors are invited to submit research papers representing original, previously unpublished work to SIGIR 2007. Please adhere to the following guidelines:
Please see the call page for more information.
Posters must be submitted by February 25, 2007.
Submissions must be in English and consist of an extended abstract (of 2 pages maximum in SIGIR format including references and figures) that emphasizes the research problem and the methods being used. The submission format for posters is the same as that for papers. Posters should be submitted in PDF format. It is the responsibility of authors to ensure that their poster proposals use no unusual format features and are printable on a standard Postscript printer. Posters exceeding the 2 page limit will be rejected without review.
SIGIR review is doubleblind. Therefore, please anonymize your poster submission. This means that all submissions must have no author identifying information: do not put the author(s) names or affiliation(s), and "anonymize" citations to your own prior work in the poster.
Poster papers must be submitted electronically via the posters submission web page (the submission page is closed). LaTeX and Word templates for SIGIR submissions are available from the ACM website, using the "Option 2" style. This is also the style that will be required for the final poster papers. Accepted proposals will be published in the proceedings.
Please see the call page for more information.
Demonstrations must be submitted by February 25, 2007.
Submissions must be in English and consist of an extended abstract (one page in SIGIR format including references and figures). If the demo requires other infrastructure than Internet, power connection, and poster stand, then the submission should contain in addition a one-page requirements description. The submission format for demonstration papers is the same as that for papers. Demonstration papers should be submitted in PDF format. It is the responsibility of authors to ensure that their demonstration proposals use no unusual format features and are printable on a standard Postscript printer. Papers exceeding the 1 page limit will be rejected without review.
Unlike posters and research papers, authors of demonstration proposals are not expected to take measures to conceal their identity from reviewers.
Demonstration papers must be submitted electronically via the demonstration submission web page (closed). LaTeX and Word templates for SIGIR submissions are available from the ACM website, using the "Option 2" style. This is also the style that will be required for the final papers. Accepted proposals will be published in the proceedings.
Please see the call page for more information.
Workshop proposals must be submitted by February 25, 2007.

The submission should include a one-paragraph biographical sketch for each organizer, describing relevant qualifications and experience.

The cover sheet should specify: (1) the title and length of the tutorial; (2) the intended audience (introductory, intermediate, advanced); (3) complete contact information for the contact person and other presenters; and (4) a brief biography (max. 2 paragraphs) for each presenter.
The extended abstract should be 3 to 4 pages, and should include an outline of the tutorial, along with descriptions of the course objectives, its relevance to the IR community, and course materials.
Tutorial proposals in PDF format must be sent via email by February 25, 2007 to the Tutorial Chair, ChengXiang Zhai (czhai AT cs.uiuc.edu).

Doctoral Consortium papers must be submitted by March 11, 2007.
The same format is used for Consortium papers as for full SIGIR papers. LaTeX and Word templates for SIGIR submissions are available from the ACM Website. The first page must contain the title of the paper, full author name, affiliation and contact details, and an abstract of up to 250 words, and up to 3 keywords describing the topic areas. The papers will be reviewed by the members of the Doctoral Consortium Program Committee. The final version of the paper should be no more than 5 double-column pages in the standard SIGIR format, including all figures and bibliography, but not including the appendix. All correspondence with the author will be through email.
All Consortium paper submissions must include a set of ACM Computing Reviews categories and keywords that describe the contents of the paper. These categories and keywords must appear after the Abstract and before the Introduction. Information about selecting and formatting categories and keywords can be found in ACM Web pages on how to use the computing classification system and in the LaTeX and Word templates.
Consortium papers must be submitted electronically via the submission web page. (closed)
